Tassal, an iconic brand renowned for its Tasmanian salmon, recently unveiled a new branding initiative, “Tassal – It’s Australian for Seafood,” to showcase its expanded offerings, including prawns and barramundi. The goal was to establish the rebranding through compelling storytelling, inspiring new audiences across various channels and the open internet. To assess the success of the campaign, Tassal’s agency, Havas, needed to measure awareness of the new brand positioning and gauge consumer consideration within their target audience.

Solution

By partnering with GrowthAds, Havas gained valuable insights into Tassal’s ideal audience, identifying them as “mindful taste seekers.” To effectively engage and guide consumers through the funnel, Tassal implemented an omnichannel strategy, starting with BVOD ads on the largest screen in the house, followed by retargeting across both cookie-based and cookieless environments with in-banner video and a unique interactive 3D cube creative designed by GrowthAds. Using Brand Lift Live by GrowthAds™ (BLL), Tassal conducted an in-flight brand lift survey to assess how well the creative resonated with viewers and enable real-time optimizations.

Results

The BVOD retargeting strategy across display effectively drove traffic to Tassal’s website, resulting in a notable 26% lift in favorability. This lift was particularly strong among females (+32%) and those who viewed the ads on streaming devices (+32%). Moreover, by advertising in cookieless environments, they reached 38.3% more unique users than they had access to before.
